Pup Cobalt ๐บ๐ธ
We stumbled upon this adorable pup unexpectedly. As we were searching for a cover pup for our music section, Instagram kept presenting us with image after image of this cheerful critter, and we simply couldn't resist! Without further ado, we present... Maybe it's best to let him introduce himself.

"Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people."
- Roy T Bennett

PW: Tell us about yourself.
COBALT: Hello pups! Iโm currently located in California. I work in river management and conservation, which allows me quite a bit of time to be outdoors and in some really cool places. A great added benefit of my work, which I think employers should implement, is allowing time for volunteer work. Iโve chosen to give my time at the local zoo to enrich and educate our patrons with a memorable experience and instill a sense of pride and conservatorship.
PW: What's your name, pupper?
COBALT: Bark, Bark, Bark, Iโm Pup Cobalt. Blue is life. Born in July 2023. It was a joyous coincidence when my Alpha adopted me into his pack. From the start, I had been a stray pup for half a year, learning the ropes and trying to find where I fit in. Before my pack, Iโve met many amazing pups throughout the States. During a trip to Phoenix, my Alpha, Pup Blue, found me. At first, I was apprehensive about joining because I was from a different state. He has truly lived up to being an Alpha pup and a very dear friend. The icing is that he is Pup Blue, Iโm in Pack Blue, and my name just happens to be Pup Cobalt!
PW: What first drew you to the world of pup play?
COBALT: I had been looking for a niche that I fit in and nothing seemed to work. Iโve thought about leather, BDSM, Drag, and other avenues. They are all interesting, but none of them completely capture who I am. I saw my first pup in the spring of 2023 and was immediately infatuated. I was attracted by the hood, gear, and attitude. Certainly! The deal was signed when he suddenly started barking. I knew that was where I belonged. I bought my first hood and gear in July 2023. I must say, hoods and gear can get a bit addicting.
PW: What kind of pup do you embody in your play? Do you have a specific role or title?

COBALT: I am a beta pup. I wish to embody the pup that is loyal and happy. The pup that jumps for joy when you walk through the door after being gone all day for work. The pup that brings light and joy to people I meet. I do enjoy having a handler or Alpha take control and hand out some light BDSM from time to time.
PW: Do you have a human handler in your play sessions or prefer to go solo?
COBALT: Currently, I do not have a human handler. I belong to Pack Blue and do have an Alpha. I do have a BF (who is not my handler), and he is supportive of me being a pup, even though he may not fully understand it. To me, Pack Blue is family. I have an Alpha and brothers who support each other. Sisters? Maybe one day, who knows?
PW: Is pup play a solitary activity for you, or do you enjoy playing with other pups?
COBALT: I always enjoy the company of my pack and other pups. I can also get into plenty of antics on my own. It is somewhat isolating where I am in California because there's not much of a pup presence in town. I know theyโre here, Iโve just got to find them. I have ventured beyond the town and have encountered many wonderful pups, such as those in San Francisco, Seattle, Florida, Texas, and Phoenix. My pack is in another state altogether, Phoenix, AZ, and I love it when I visit. Itโs like I never left. Now, our Phoenix Pack Blue has grown and has pups in other states as well. I am eventually looking forward to traveling abroad to meet more pups.
PW: How does pup play influence your life outside of the headspace?
COBALT: Funny fact: I've caught myself randomly barking in front of people and coworkers many times. I'm sure many other pups do the same. I donโt mind wearing my collar and tags outside of pup play.
PW: What safety tips would you share with new pups joining the community?
COBALT: For new pups, always remember to obtain consent. A simple head boop or head scratches may seem harmless, but remember that "No means No".
PW: Whatโs your life like ten years down the line?
COBALT: Whether itโs ten years or two months down the line, I want to be kind, happy, and joyful. I want to be able to spread that whenever I can and wherever I am. To be able to love unconditionally, when Iโm in my pup headspace as well as out of pup.
PW: What kind of stuff do you get up to outside of your pup persona? Hobbies? Fun distractions?

COBALT: Music has always been a big part of my life. It merges the imaginative and intellectual parts of my mind. I love how I can get lost in the music while at the same time experiencing the structure behind it. I trained in classical piano and studied science. Lately, Iโve been listening to EDM and trance music, but any genre of music is good for me. I've also realized how much I miss dancing to music and doing that more now. Headphones have become a part of pup hood and gear outfit. I finally mustered up the courage to start doing karaoke and not let the fear of others' opinions bother me. Being a pup has helped me let go of self-loathing and embrace a carefree attitude that I really enjoy.
PW: If you could have a pup playdate with any fictional character (human or animal! ), who would it be and why?
COBALT: My dream pup play date would be with Chris Evans as Captain America of the MCU. He would be my ideal handler. His steadfast leadership, loyalty, humility, and decency as a human being are very attractive. We could play fetch all day, and he comes with a frisbee!
PW: What else do you want to say to the Pup-World?
COBALT: "Really love the people who love you. Learn all the human skills that you need to be a good human being, because being human is hard. And have as much fun as possible, because you canโt be angry and laugh at the same time." - Simon Sinek
