PW: Welcome, Spike! The Woodpile has been lonely without you. Tell us a little about you. Where did your name come from?

SPIKE: Pup Spike is inspired by Bowser, which embodies strength, energy, and a sense of boldness with a playful twist. The fire-breathing aspect represents Pup Spike's fiery passion and intensity in both interactions and self-expression. It allows me to channel power and fun, creating a balance of strength and approachable playfulness.

PW: How did you come to the pup life? Were you guided, or did you discover the pup world on your own?

SPIKE: I was introduced to the pup community about a year ago through a close friend who was already involved. Over time, I had several conversations with him, and he guided me through the process, helping me understand and immerse myself in the pup lifestyle. He has since become my pup dad, Doobey, and Iโ€™m incredibly grateful for his support and the strong bond weโ€™ve developed.

PW: Where do you live? Is it a good place to live?

SPIKE: Right now I'm in Franklin, KY. It's a small town, but really cute!

PW: Where did you grow up? Does the thought of home give you the warm and fuzzies?

SPIKE: Nashville, Tennessee, and of course I was born and raised there, with all the amazing memories.

PW: Are there any unique cultural experiences or traditions in your area that you enjoy?

SPIKE: The Hispanic Festival is always amazing, and I enjoy the free concerts at the parks every Friday during the summer.

PW: If you had to write a bio one-line description, how would you describe Pup Spike?

SPIKE: Pup Spike is a creative and adventurous soul.

PW: Are you more exotic or tame? Vanilla or chili pepper?

SPIKE: I'm in between; it just depends on the mood of the day!

PW: Do you have any fetishes or kinks in your pup play?

SPIKE: I am actually still learning and experimenting along the way of what I am into. I do like rope play and some mild bondage at the moment! Woof!

PW: Where would you place yourself on an Angel-to-Devil scale? (Santaโ€™s taking notes)

SPIKE: Awrooo! It varies with the situation. I can be in between. Angel to most people is sweet and innocent, but in bed or on a friend level, I can be a little devil.

PW: How has being a pup affected your life out of the hood?

SPIKE: Honestly, it helps me accept my body even more and embrace my imperfections. In the past, it was harder for me to accept myself or show off, but the hood helps me accept myself more and not worry what others think of me.

PW: Whatโ€™s the most exciting thing youโ€™ve done in full pup gear, wearing your hood? Public shenanigans?

SPIKE: I would say that I enjoy expressing my unique style through my gear and performance, such as fire breathingas a pup.

PW: How does the pup headspace affect your mental health and well-being?

SPIKE: It actually improved my mental health by allowing me to meet new people in the community and be social at times.

PW: Are you out to the world? As a pup?

SPIKE: I am! I have been on hikes, attended pride events, and visited amusement parks as a pup before. Even on social media.

PW: How do your friends and family feel about your involvement in pup play?

SPIKE: My friends accept who I am and are very supportive of it.

PW: What do you do for a living?

SPIKE: I'm a behavioral therapist for people with disabilities. I take them out into the community to help them connect with others and manage inventory for hospitals.

PW: What kind of interests do you have when youโ€™re not Spike? Hobbies?

SPIKE: Well, I love doing photography, fire breathing, drawing. I create content on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, including making my own videos. Additionally, I am a bearded drag queen.

PW: So, you're creative. How else do you express yourself?

SPIKE: I am!! One of my favorite tattoos is a galaxy lightbulb, representing my creativity. My videos, style, and photography showcase this aspect.
