PW: Welcome Pupper! I know your name is Jeff, but Twigs fits so much better! We're so happy to help spread the word about your podcast UNLEASHED. We're also pumped that Pup-World will host your own page in PUP'S LIFE! So, do you identify as your hooman persona or as a pup when creating and conducting your podcast?

TWIGZ: During my podcast, I am always Pup Twigz, so I am a pup.

PW: How do you describe Unleashed?

TWIGZ: The podcast is to let pups showcase themselves. I know many pups are looking to make friends, which gives them a platform to gain new friends from all over the world. Also to help educate those new pups just getting into pup play.

PW: Whatโ€™s your goal in doing the show?

TWIGZ: When I first started the podcast back in March of 2023, it was just something I wanted to do. Interviewing pups from all 50 US states is now one of my objectives. I also want pups from every nation to be on my program.

PW: Having a background in creating and producing theatre and television, I fully understand the inspiration behind the muse. What drew you to create Unleashed?

TWIGZ: It was an idea I had once I entered the pup community as Pup Twigz. I bounced the idea off my husband, Andrew, aka Pup Smokey. He told me to look into it, so I began joining pup groups on Facebook and started making connections. I was so surprised at how many pups wanted to do this.

PW: Pups come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. Some work the cuddly, some are muscled-up and sexy, and many more are just doing their own thing. How do you choose your subjects, and does personal preference ever enter into the picture?

TWIGZ: I will interview any form of critter. It does not make a difference to me at all. I love all forms, sizes, colors, and sexes. If you want to be on Unleashed, then it's on.

PW: Who would be your dream guest(s)? I know they are out there, but I would love to find a celebrity pup.

TWIGZ: One can only wish. However, I wanted so badly to interview the singing pup from Denver, CO, Pup Atlas. I was able to do an early interview with him in season one. But in Season 2, I had a follow-up interview with him to discuss how he creates his music for posting on social media. I was also lucky to get to meet him in person when he was down in Orlando.

PW: Itโ€™s so great to have a pup-produced, all-pup interview presence out on the screens. What kind of reception have you gotten? Howโ€™s your viewing audience?

TWIGZ: So I've received many messages saying that the pups are enjoying the podcasts and love getting to know other pups from all over. Some have reached out to say they have made new friends since appearing on Unleashed. I currently have 816 subscribers at the time of this interview. I know it only takes one video to go viral, so maybe one day.

PW: When did you come out?

TWIGZ: I came out as gay when I was 34 years old. I lived in Arkansas at the time and was married with three daughters. I had some hit-and-miss relationships after that. I met my husband while living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I had the opportunity to relocate to Florida in 2011, and I inquired about his feelings regarding the move to a much warmer state. He said, "Let's go for it." In 2016, I asked him to marry me, and he said yes. I became Pup Twigz in 2022.

PW: Do you have any pups? What role do you play?

TWIGZ: I am Handler. I am new to the role, but I am handler to a local pup named Pup Danny. Alpha? I'm actually more a Beta. My husband calls me Daddy, but that is a story for another time.

PW: What do you like to do when youโ€™re not in production?

TWIGZ: I keep the weekly calendar of events for all four pup groups here in Central Florida. I am also into getting pups together to do other things in town. I am currently working on organizing a group to attend EDC Orlando in November. I am now making dog collars because I have plenty of free time. I made the decision in December of 2023 to retire after working for the same company for 40 years.

PW: Whatโ€™s around the corner for Unleashed?

TWIGZ: Well, I keep looking for ways to improve the podcast. Then next upgrade would be getting a new camera.

PW: Where can we catch your podcast, and how do we subscribe?

TWIGZ: On Youtube and on Spotify.

PW: Anything else you'd like to add? Let โ€˜er rip!

TWIGZ: I just want to thank every single pup/critter that has been on Unleashed. I would not be able to do what I love doing without the interest from the pup/critter community. Itโ€™s not work if you enjoy doing it.
